Jane Austin I Am A Watercolour Artist Based In Halifax, West Yorkshire. I Trained As An Illustrator Gaining A Ba (hons) Graphics Degree In 1986. I Have Worked As A Freelance Artist Since 1998, First Selling Through Other Galleries Until Having My Own Gallery Studio For Over Two Years In Northowram. Now I Look To Exhibiting Further A Field. I Work From My Garden Studio At Home Which Enables Me To Be Much More Flexible. In General I Work From Photographs And Sketches, Enjoying The Travel To Gather New Images That Excite Me. The Majority Of My Sales Are Originals, Though I Have Limited Prints On Occasion. Commissions Are My Speciality, Private And Commercial. I Also Take On Some Illustration Work And Occasional Murals. I Teach Art Projects Within Schools But Thoroughly Enjoy The Adult Watercolour Art Classes That I Run Locally. I Also Teach And Give Demonstrations At The Northowram Art Circle.
